The best free comment pickers, compared by platform
Most comment pickers are free up to a point, and the point is different on every tool and every platform. This page compares four popular pickers on the things that decide whether the free version is enough for your giveaway: how many comments it reads, whether it needs your login, which platforms it covers, and how you prove the draw was fair. Every figure for another tool comes from that tool's own website and is linked at the bottom.

Which free comment picker should you use?
It depends mostly on the platform. Instagram has the most choice. Facebook and TikTok have far less, because the tools built around Instagram either do not support them or need a login to read them.

Free comment pickers side by side
These are the free tiers as each tool describes them. A free limit is a ceiling: a post with fewer comments gives fewer, and every tool can read only public posts unless it asks you to log in.

What is the best free comment picker for Facebook?
Facebook is where the free options differ most. commentpicker.com's Facebook picker asks you to log in as an admin of the Facebook Page, works only on business Pages, does not support groups, and reads up to 100 comments free. Pickfetti and The Pick Is Right do not read Facebook at all.
Free Comment Picker reads the public post from its link, so it works on a Page you do not manage and on posts in public groups, with no Facebook login, up to 500 comments free. It counts entrants by account rather than by display name, which matters on Facebook because two different people can share a name. Whichever tool you use, Meta's own rules apply: a Facebook giveaway must not require or reward sharing or tagging.
What is the best free comment picker for TikTok?
commentpicker.com's TikTok picker reads up to 30 comments free from a public video, and up to 30,000 on Premium. Pickfetti and The Pick Is Right do not support TikTok. Free Comment Picker reads up to 500 comments free from any public TikTok video, with no login and no app, and up to 5,000 on Pro.
If your giveaway is part of TikTok Shop, none of these is the right tool: TikTok Shop's own policy asks Shop sellers and creators to use its LIVE Giveaway feature.
What is the best free comment picker for Instagram?
Instagram has the strongest free options. Pickfetti and Free Comment Picker both read up to 500 comments free without an Instagram login. Both can publish a public proof page with the random seed and a hash of the entry list; Free Comment Picker's page also lists every proof draw ever run on the post, so a re-draw is visible. Pickfetti also reads reply threads, and asks for a free account after the first draw.
Free Comment Picker never asks for an account for the free draw and covers Facebook and TikTok as well, but it allows one free draw per day and reads top-level comments, not replies. The Pick Is Right is free up to 250 comments with no account. commentpicker.com's Instagram picker reads up to 100 comments free and requires connecting an Instagram business or creator account.
How should you compare free comment pickers?
Five questions settle almost every choice.
- Does it support your platform without a login? A tool that needs your password or account permissions is a bigger commitment than one that reads a public link.
- How many comments does the free tier read? If your post has more comments than the free limit, the winner is drawn from part of the thread.
- Does it count each person once, by account? Without that, the most active commenter has the best odds.
- How is the random draw made, and how will you prove it? Look for a cryptographically secure random generator and either a public proof page or a draw you can record.
- What does the free tier stop you doing? A daily draw limit, an account wall or a comment cap each matter differently depending on how often you run giveaways.
- Pickfetti: llms.txt (the tool's own summary)Free up to 500 comments per post, first draw without an account, then a free account; Draw Pass from $4.99; Pro $9/month; Instagram and YouTube.
- The Pick Is Right: Pricing"Pick a winner instantly — no account needed for posts up to 250 comments."
- commentpicker.com: Instagram Comment Picker"Instagram Comment Picker has a limit of 100 comments per giveaway post for free users."
- commentpicker.com: Facebook Comment Picker"Please log in as admin of the Facebook page, select your Facebook page and grant read permissions." "Free users can get max. 100 comments."
