commentpicker.com alternatives, and when to use each
commentpicker.com is one of the best-known giveaway tools, with a picker for each of eight platforms and more than a hundred free tools. People look for an alternative for two reasons its own pages explain: the free tier reads up to 100 comments on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube and 30 on TikTok, and the Instagram and Facebook pickers need you to log in with a business or creator account or as a Page admin. This guide compares the alternatives on exactly those points, with every figure taken from each tool's own site on 31 October 2026.

Why look for an alternative to commentpicker.com?
Mostly because of the login and the free limit. On Instagram, commentpicker.com reads comments through Meta's official API, which is why it asks you to log in with an Instagram business or creator account and does not support personal accounts. On Facebook it asks you to log in as an admin of a business Page, and it does not support personal profiles or Facebook groups. If you run a giveaway from a personal account, from a group, or on someone else's post, those pickers cannot read it.
The free tier itself is 100 comments on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube and 30 on TikTok, with one post and one winner per draw. Premium removes the comment cap and adds up to ten winners, multiple posts and branding, for $9.99 a month.
commentpicker.com alternatives compared
The alternatives below read a public post from its link, or say plainly what they connect to. All figures are from each tool's own pages.
| Tool | Platforms | Free comment limit | Login or account | Paid from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| commentpicker.com | 8 platforms, one tool each | Instagram, Facebook, YouTube 100; TikTok 30 | Instagram business or creator login; Facebook Page-admin login; TikTok and YouTube none | $9.99/month |
| Free Comment Picker | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube | Up to 100, one draw per day | None | $7.99/month |
| Pickfetti | Instagram, YouTube | Up to 500 | First draw none, then a free account | $4.99 pass, $9/month |
| The Pick Is Right | Instagram, YouTube | Up to 250 | None | $2.99 per giveaway |
| FateWheel | Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook | 500 with a free account, 100 without | No Instagram login | $4.99 pass, $7.99/month |
| DMFast | Up to 200 from a link | None | Not stated |
What does Free Comment Picker do differently?
It reads the public post from its link, so there is nothing to connect: no Instagram business account, no Facebook Page admin rights, no app permissions. That means it also works on personal accounts' public posts, on public Facebook group posts and on posts you do not own. The free draw reads up to 100 top-level comments on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube and can pick up to five winners in one go; commentpicker.com's free tier picks one.
The trade-offs are real. Free Comment Picker gives one free draw per day, reads top-level comments rather than replies, covers four platforms rather than eight, and has no comment export. Pro, at $7.99/month, removes the daily limit and reads more comments per draw, but it is not unlimited: it has a ceiling too.
When is commentpicker.com still the better choice?
When you need what it has and the alternatives do not. It covers X, Threads, Bluesky and Reddit as well as the big four, it can add comment replies on Facebook and YouTube, it exports comments, and it has a long list of non-giveaway tools such as ID finders, hashtag and tag generators and a YouTube transcript generator. If you manage the business Page or creator account anyway, the login is not an obstacle, and the official API reads everything that account can see.
How do you switch without changing your giveaway?
Your rules do not depend on the tool, so switching is a matter of pasting the same post into a different picker. Check three things before you draw.
- The post is public. A picker that reads a link cannot see a private account's post.
- Your entry count fits the free limit, or you are fine drawing from the newest part of the thread. If not, use a tool with a higher limit or a paid plan.
- Your rules say how entries are counted, for example one entry per account and replies not counted, so the result can be checked against them.
